The ATA have recently announced that Mr Bill Ker will be stepping down from his role as CEO in July 2005. Mr Ker has been CEO of the Australian Touch Association for the past 10 years and has indicated his intentions early, allowing the board time to organise a succession plan for his retirement. “The organisation is planning to implement a new management structure, meaning the timing is ideal for someone with new ideas, passion and energy for the sport of Touch in Australia,” Mr Ker said. “I am proud of how our sport has developed during my time with the ATA and am excited about the future direction and possibilities for the organisation and the sport.” The ATA Board of Directors has appointed Sport Employment Australia (SEA) to identify a new CEO for Australia Touch.
