DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake women’s basketball team, the defending Missouri Valley Conference champions, announced its 2017-18 non-conference schedule on Monday, July 24. Drake, coming off a historic 2016-17 season which included winning the MVC regular season and tournament titles and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time in program history, will open the season on Nov. 10 against Milwaukee at the Knapp Center in the Preseason Women’s National Invitation Tournament. As announced back in June, the WNIT features a three-game guarantee. If a team loses in the championship bracket before it has played three games, it will play in the consolation bracket.
