George Graham tells talkSPORT: ‘I was so impressed with Arsenal against Man United’

first_imgGeorge Graham joined the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast to analyse Arsenal’s performance against Manchester United on Monday night.Danny Welbeck returned to haunt his former club as the Gunners beat their long-time rivals 2-1 at Old Trafford to move into the semi-finals of the FA Cup.Graham believes Arsene Wenger’s side were good value for their win and the club’s former manager was impressed by the defensive side of their game.“The first half was pretty even but when you size up the game you look at the two goalkeepers and look who was the busiest. [David] De Gea made two absolutely world class saves in the second half, so really it could have been a lot more,” he said.“The second half Arsenal got better and better and better. When they lost possession, they looked a lot more solid protecting their back four, which has been a problem for them this season.“I was so impressed with Arsenal without the ball. They looked a lot more solid, even though the first half was pretty even.”last_img
