Bucksport football’s Carmichael named LTC Co-Player of the Year

first_imgBUCKSPORT — Bucksport football’s Chase Carmichael was named Little Ten Conference Co-Player of the Year at the conference’s annual awards banquet Sunday.Carmichael, a senior quarterback, helped guide Bucksport to the No. 2 seed and first round-bye in Class D North this season. He also led the Golden Bucks to their first regional championship appearance game since 2014.In four seasons as the team’s starting quarterback, Carmichael has thrown for more than 5,000 yards. He also set the LTC single-season record for passing yards this year by throwing for over 1,600 in Bucksport’s 10 games.Chase is the grandson of Bob Carmichael, who coached the Golden Bucks to three state titles from 1961-77.
